A big name for a Japanese Beer from the small island of Okinawa. Designed for Pinnacle Drinks, we were tasked with the creation of branding and naming for a new premium Japanese beer, tapping into the anime culture of Japan.
The outcome being award-winning MONSUTĀ Premium Beer: smooth, crisp and bold, providing refreshment of unseen magnitude. The packaging encapsulates the imagination of Japanese culture relevant to today’s well-travelled consumer.

MONSUTĀ Chuhai
The cultural strength of the MONSUTĀ brand and ‘giant size taste’ positioning has allowed extension into the Vodka & Shochu Chuhai alcohol category with much success. The aRTD range offers a new type of authentic Japanese refreshment for consumers.



MONSUTĀ, meaning ‘monster’ in Japanese, is a modern take on Japanese Kaiju monsters, depicted in a traditional Japanese style. The giant sumo and squid characters represent the giant size taste and crisp refreshment of the beverages in the range.
